Marco Rèa
Bio
His artistic studies began in high school and then continued with the study of comics and lastly, he graduated in Contemporary Art History.
For years, he has been in close contact with the Roman writing and graffiti scene.
He has exhibited in well-known Italian museums and numerous galleries in Europe, the United States and Japan, as well as collaborating with internationally renowned personalities.
He has created large-scale murals for a number of municipalities and festivals, along with some of the most famous names in Italian and European street art.
Since 2005, through his paintings, he has investigated the human figure and, in particular, the female portrait and its most intimate, emotional and psychological aspects.
He has created illustrations for Vogue Italia, Vogue Türkiye, Tatler UK, Lampoon Italia (to name but a few) and collaborated with brands and labels such as Fendi, Disney/Marvel, Universal Pictures, Mondadori Electa and Liberty London.
His works have been published in several books on contemporary art, street art and fashion illustration and on Italian, French and Swiss television channels.
Antrodoco 2024 “LUNA – Omaggio ai sognatori” (LUNA – Homage to dreamers)

Description: The piece is intended to be a homage to dreamers and all those who have goals in life that they wish to achieve, whether they are small or big. Especially, those born into disadvantaged conditions, who find themselves struggling every day in order to achieve their dreams.
The subject is intentionally not well defined; it is up to the observer to give it a story and an identity, so they themselves become the user and creator of the work.
It could represent a girl or a young man – since it is deliberately left without a recognisable identity – belonging to any ethnicity and without any clearly defined indication of age, the figure’s gaze is turned towards the sky, towards their dreams.
The colourful elements reflect the geometry of the building that hosts the work, contextualising it and lending graphic and chromatic balance to the whole.
